Is Fondue For You?

Who doesn’t love a good round of fondue?  I recently got to tag along with Somm In the City to check out, Trestle on Tenth, a traditional and innovative Swiss restaurant in Manhattan. The hot restaurant is a mix of artists, art enthusiasts, locals, and out of towners.

We kicked if off with pan seared sweetbreads with celery, preserves lemon and hazelnuts and a few wines including the wonderful Fendant du Valais, a light wine from Switzerland.

We sampled the fondue for two which had some yummy potatoes, meats, small pickles, baguette, and of course fondue. It was so delicious.

Along we way we tried, The Autumn Shade cocktail.. bourbon, Lillet, lemon, sage, honey, and burlesque bitters.  It was so good, but then again anything with Lillet tends to be! I
Of course we had to top everything off with dessert. The chocolate molten cake with a hint of mint paired with the Chateau Manos Cadillac dessert wine was divine!
Trestle on the Tenth is a very good time. I recommend those who love some good fondue and if you are the mood for a cozy restaurant with good food and drink!
